In 1905 New Orleans, hunger thrusts a Jewish Russian immigrant son and an impoverished Black Storyville son into an unlikely friendship. How will they survive the decadence and debauchery surrounding them in New Orleans’ red light district of Storyville? Faced with daunting hurdles yet given surprising opportunities with music, they must work together to find a way up and out.
